MOXHAM, Howard


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Tuesday, July 15, 2014 Howard Moxham, 89 of Prescott, Ariz. for 26 years, passed away July 13, 2014, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center West. He was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Ransomville, N.Y., to George and Jennie (Austin) Moxham. Howard attended grade school and high school in New York, before enlisting in the army on June 3, 1943, and received an honorable discharge on April 7, 1946, as a corporal. He then worked for AT & T as an installer for 40 years. He retired in 1988, and moved to Prescott, Ariz., with his wife June who preceded him in death March 14, 2014. He was a member of the American Legion Post 6 in Prescott, a volunteer for the Public Library Talking Books program, and a member of Telephone Pioneers. He is survived by his four children, Linda Speranza of Debary, Fla., Carol Moxham-Boot of Clover, S.C., Steve Moxham of Leander, Texas, Larry Moxham of Lockport, N.Y.; along with six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be Thursday, July 17, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Victorian Chapel of the Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez, Prescott, Ariz., honors will be provided by the U.S. Army and American Legion Post 6. Interment will be in the National Memorial Cemetery, Phoenix, Ariz., on July 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Pines or the American Legion Post 6.
