DESCOMBES, Curtis Wayne

Thompsons Valley West Funeral Chapel, Goodyear, Arizona Curtis Wayne DesCombes, 79, of Avondale, AZ died July 17, 2014. He was born April 25, 1935 in Leeton, Missouri to Stanley Thomas and Eunice C. DesCombes. Mr. DesCombes was an educator at Agua Fria High School for over 35 years. His influence reached many children through his baseball coaching. He was an accomplished educator having received numerous awards including coach of the year several times and recognition for his professional accomplishments. He coached his teams to two state championships. Mr. DesCombes is survived by his cousins Mr. and Mrs. Ron DesCombes,Nicholas DesCombes, Judy Sullivan-Jellison, and Beverly Hammond; and his life-long friends, Frank and Theresa Rogers; and Carl and Ginny Altrogge; Sid and Chris Landon. He will be dearly missed and remembered by his community. A visitation will be held from 10-11am on Monday, July 21st at Agua Fria High School Gymnasium. Funeral Services will follow at 11am.
