Cecilia Rea Roberts, of Concho, Apache County, Arizona peacefully passed away on July 18, 2014 at her home in Concho. She was 77. Cecilia was born on June 7, 1937 in Concho, Arizona to her parents, the late, Gabriel P. and Ida C. (Candelaria) Baca.
The recitation of the holy rosary will be held 7:00PM Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the San Raphael Catholic Church, 35411 US 180A, Concho, Arizona. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 3:00PM Friday July 25, 2014 at the church with the interment to follow in the Concho Cemetery.

Cecilia Rae Baca Roberts died peacefully July 18, 2014, in her home in Concho surrounded by some of her children, brothers, sisters and grandchildren. She was born June 7, 1937, at home in Concho.
Cecilia was very active in her community. She retired from Apache County after 18 years in 1999. She had been on the board of the Concho Elementary School District for the past 16 years. She served on the Concho CAN governing board, was treasurer of the Concho Water Irrigation System and was the first woman to serve on the San Rafael Church Council.
She was elected precinct committee member for the Apache County Democratic Party. She served four terms and was past president and treasurer of the Democratic Party. She also served the Apache County Guidance Clinic, now known as the Little Colorado Behavioral Health Clinic, for four years. She served on the personnel committee that drew up the original personnel guidelines. Her pride in and love for her church, community, county and state is evident and will be sorely missed.
Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel P. Baca and Ida Candelaria; brothers Gene and Gabriel Baca; sister Carmen Baca; daughter Pamela Sue Roberts; grandsons Russell A. Roberts and Eric R. Michael and great-granddaughter Samara.
She is survived by six of her children, Ida Roberts of Concho, Christine Roberts of La Luz, N.M., Russell Roberts of Alamogordo, N.M,. Elizabeth Neal (Garry) of Lakeside, Kathryn Blaase’ (Randy) of Lakeside and Walter Roberts (Tracie) of Atlanta Ga.; six sisters, Regina Shaver (Alan) of Lawrence Kan., Clara Bonfili (Frank) of Phoenix, Molly Baca (Mike Davis) of Prineville Ore., Gabriella Romero (Jake) of St. Johns, Hope MacMonagle (Michael, deceased) of Ogden Utah and Jana Young (Jerry) of Holbrook; two brothers, Max Baca of Concho and Mark Baca (Olga) of Williams; 28 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
The recitation of the holy rosary was held July 24 at the San Raphael Catholic Church in Concho. The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 25, at the church with the interment to follow in the Concho Cemetery.
