Casa Grande Dispatch (AZ) - Tuesday, December 24, 2013 Deceased Name: Cecil Shockley FLORENCE - Cecil Jeptha "CJ" Shockley, 75, of Florence died at home on Dec. 22, 2013. Mr. Shockley was born in Knott, Texas, on Aug. 10, 1938, to Cecil and Zada (Roberts) Shockley. He served in the Army at Fort Carson, Colo., and in Germany. He worked for the Arizona Department of Corrections for more than 21 years, retiring as a lieutenant. He enjoyed the outdoors and traveled extensively through his lifetime. Fishing and golf were two of his favorite pastimes, and he was an avid baseball fan. Ice cream was his favorite treat, and he ate it almost every day. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Jean, and three brothers, Mike, Richard and Bruce. He is survived by his wife of five years, Mary Jo (Bayless) Shockley; two stepsons, Troy and Michael Stephens; and a foster daughter, Rhonda Tickle. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Heritage Coolidge Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at the Church of Christ in Coolidge at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be in Heritage Valley Memorial Park. Page: 2A
