Wickenburg Sun, The (AZ) - Wednesday, September 15, 2010 Deceased Name: David Shockley David Lentz Shockley of Wickenburg passed away Sept. 2 in Peoria. He was born Oct. 27, 1935 in Nashville, Tenn. David moved to Pomona, Calif., when he was 13 years old. He was in the Navy from 1952 to 1956, the Air Force Reserve from 1961 to 1970, and the Army National Guard from 1981 to 1984. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and he volunteered for the Arizona Rangers. Survivors include his daughter Elizabeth and son Bruce Shockley; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 21 at the Veterans National Cemetery, 2309 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix AZ 85024. In lieu of flowers, donations to defray funeral costs can be made in care of Elizabeth Shockley, P.O. Box 2705, Wickenburg AZ 85358. Arrangements are under the care of Best Funeral Services.
