"Irene," as her friends knew her, was born in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada, on Sept. 5, 1919, and passed away on May 2, 2009, in Green Valley.

Irene was preceded in death by "Chuck," her husband of 67 years.

She is survived by her son Robert and wife Jo-Ann; daughter Donna Zukowski and husband Steve; granddaughters Allison Yorba and Kristin Henige and husband Paul; as well as three great-grandchildren.

Irene loved life, family, laughter, bridge, swimming, crafts, movies, animals, and the loving staff at Prestige Assisted Living Expressions unit that became her extended family.

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, you will be forever missed.

As she requested, no services were held.
