76, died peacefully on April 11, 2006 at the VA Hospice in Tucson with loving family at his side. Claude was born June 6, 1929 to Ventura and Amelia Carbajal in Tucson, AZ. He is greeted in heaven by his parents; sisters, Alicia Campas, Belia Dorame and brothers, Ben and Bill Carbajal. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Frances Carbajal; his two children, David Carbajal of Tucson, Claudia (Donnie) Owens of Yuma, AZ and stepchildren, Duane (Nellie) Williams, Peggy Neathery, and Diane Valentine of Tucson; Daniel and Mark Hunter of El Dorado, IL. He will be missed by his sisters, Magdalena Rodriguez, Teresa Robertson, Carmen (Dick) Noon all of Tucson, AZ and brothers, Henry (Barbara) of Montrose, California and Juan Carbajal of Tucson, AZ. He was a loving grandfather to Kendall and Terry Karn of Yuma, AZ; 16 step-grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Claude saw the world while serving in the United States Army. He retired after 36 years of active, reserve, and civilian service at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. He was a member of VFW Post 549 and many other organizations. He loved fishing, hunting, the desert wildlife and his Sci Fi. He enjoyed cooking all kinds of foods and we will dearly miss his potato salad, meatloaf and guacamole! Cremation has taken place. Join family and friends in a celebration of Claude's life at his home on April 29, 2006 beginning at 300 p.m.
