Passing of Frank Edgar
Good Man Gone to His Final Rest in New Jerusalem
Frank Edgar, the man who had no enemies, and who had lived here for years, is gone. He had been rather poorly all winter, and has, at times, quit work because he did not feel well. He left here on Sunday evening, the 24th of January, for Phoenix. He had been working right along helping Ed Zeiger put in the pipe line for the Martinez water system. For several days before he left he had been complaining of a pain in his head, and went to Phoenix for treatment. No one here thought he was in any danger. It is reported that he suffered from a stroke of apoplexy the day before he died, but the authenticity of this we cannot vouch for, as the details of his death are very meager here. The sad news of his death reached here on Monday, and a circle of friends were pained to learn that he had been called to the unknown beyond.
Frank was an unassuming fellow who always attended strictly to his own business and paid his debts. He was generous to a fault, and was not of a suspicious nature. He carried no chips on his shoulders, and never slandered his neighbors.
His sister, Mrs J R Dunn, of Wickenburg, went to Phoenix immediately on the receipt of the news of his death. She was a passenger on the freight that was wrecked near Morristown, but escaped without injury.
His many friends, while sorrowing themselves over the loss of such a good friend, extend sympathy to his bereaved relatives.
