Prescott lost one of the nicest, kindest, sweetest, most gracious, caring women placed on this earth. Kay was born in Ireland on Oct. 28, 1923, the daughter of James and Bridget Tully. Kay completed her good Catholic education in Ireland all the way through college gradation with a degree in x-ray radiology. She loved Ireland and was proud of her heritage, but for medical reasons could not endure the weather there. She moved to the USA and found her perfect home base in Prescott, Ariz., 68 years ago. Kay also found the love of her life in Dave Jenner. When asked how Dave was, Kay always said he is wonderful! They were perfect mates, supporting each other in every way. Everywhere you look in Prescott you see the generosity these two people have provided to the community, including YRMC, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Prescott Fine Arts, and the list goes on. Kay was a long time member of the Prescott Fine Arts Charter Auxiliary and enjoyed the companionship she had with the women there and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In her later years, even though plagued with various illnesses, Kay never complained. She always had a ready smile for everyone and when asked how she felt she would say she was fine. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Dave Jenner; her stepchildren, Callie Hernandez of Skull Valley, Jan Hampton of Prescott, David (Karen) McDonald of Williamson Valley, Danny (Windy) McDonald of Oregon and their families; along with her primary devoted caregiver Anna (VanHoose) Skinner. She will be remembered lovingly by those who knew her and could not help but love this remarkable woman. Visitation will be from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St. in Prescott. A rosary service will begin at 4:30 p.m. Celebration of Life funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury, Prescott, with burial at 2:30 p.m. at the Skull Valley Cemetery. Funeral services were entrusted to Wakelin Family Funeral Homes. You are invited to log onto ruffnerwakelin.com to sign Kay's guestbook and share a memory with Dave and for directions.
