He was born May 12, 1931 in Peoria, Illinois and was a resident of Sedona for 19 years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rotraut "Cookie" Best and children; Mike, Kathy and Kelly(Angela) Best; granddaughters Juliann, Alyssa and grandson Jeffery. He was preceded in death by his son Patrick.
