Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Tuesday, July 29, 2014 Abel Trinidad Peña, 39 With a heavy heart, Jess and Hilda Valenzuela announce that their son Abel Trinidad Peña, 39, passed away on July 19, 2014 in Miami, Ariz. Abel was born on Dec. 11, 1974 in Oxnard, California to Hilda Alvarez and Jesse Curiel Peña. Abel grew up in Port Hueneme, Calif. and graduated from Hueneme High School in 1994. An avid sportsman, outdoor enthusiast and hard worker, Abel will be remembered for his laughter and ability to make friends wherever he went. He was a welder and employed by Freeport McMoRan Copper Mine. Abel was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Curiel Peña; grandparents Trinidad and Isabel Peña and Mary and Ramon Alvarez of Miami, Ariz. Abel is survived by his son, Jesse José; daughter, Mackenzie; his parents, Jess and Hilda Alvarez-Valenzuela; his brother, Damien (Edlyn); his brother, Robert; his sisters, Monica (Rameen) Jessica and Danielle Peña; his uncles, Ramon Alvarez (Linda); Robert (Vicky) and Anthony (Jeannie) Peña; nephew, Diego; and nieces, Isabella, Ariana, and loved many cousins. Memorial Mass was at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Miami, Ariz.
