Helen Elaine Couch
Helen was born in Yuma, Ariz. in 1926 and returned to her heavenly home on July 25, 2014.
Helen’s family and her life of faith and service to the Lord will be her most precious legacy.
Helen lived most of her life in Yuma, but spent the last 20 years in Payson, Ariz.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, and son, Dwayne.
She is survived by her sons, Ron (Pam) and Richard (Janet); six grandchildren; many great- and great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Leona Adams (Cliff).
Helen and Leonard pioneered two churches in Yuma including the Foothills Assembly of God where Leonard was pastor until his retirement. As a faithful servant of Jesus, Helen was the epitome of the pastor’s wife.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 31 at Mountain Meadows Memorial Park, 335 Round Valley Road, Payson, Ariz. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Foothills Assembly of God, 12831 E. 41st Street, Yuma, AZ 85367. Donations will be used for youth programs and services.
Helen’s smile and always positive attitude will be sorely missed by her family, her dearest friend, Debbie Bradway, and countless other friends. She is now reunited with her beloved Leonard… and there is a special place in heaven for the mother of three boys.
