Williams News, Williams, Arizona Tuesday, June 17, 2014 Charlotte "Skip" Hills passed away at the age of 78 in her home in Williams, Arizona on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. She was born Charlotte Robinson Emery on April 8, 1936 to Charlotte and Clarence Emery in Bangor Maine. She has three younger siblings, Clarence "Clem" Emery III, Martha Emery and Hiram Emery. She attended Bangor High School and then Farmington State Teachers College. In 1980, she married Glen Hills in Tucson, Arizona. He is a man who brought her love, happiness, and respect. They moved to Goodyear, Arizona in 1982 and eventually to Williams in 1997. She was a business woman, taught kindergarten, home economics and sewing, was a manager and eventual corporate buyer for Stretch and Sew and taught Sunday School at her Baptist church in Bangor, Maine. She loved to play cards, especially gin, cribbage and "Skip"-Bo. She loved life, she loved her family, her children and her grandchildren. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and friend to all. She is survived by her husband, Glen Hills, children Ken Edes and wife Lori, Kathy Moret, Charlotte Vaznis and husband Pat, and Adam Edes and wife Missy, her grandchildren Angela Fraser, Teri Fuller, Chris Cooley, Crystal Beatty, Sarah Wullkotte, Tami Kennelly, Mason Moret, Caleb Edes, and Emmalee Cooley, and her 15 great grandchildren, her brother Clem Emery and sister Martha Emery. She was preceded in passing by her father Clarence Emery in 1957, mother Charlotte Emery in 1995, and her brother Hiram Emery in 2007. The memorial service took place June 1 at Canyon Chapel in Williams. Art Cole and Dave Nenne officiated. She will be buried in Bangor, Maine, in late summer.
