Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, July 30, 2014 - Jon J. Robbins, 69, passed away in Las Vegas, Nev. May 24, 2014. Born in Ithaca, N.Y., Jon was raised as a farmer and served as a jet mechanic for the Air Force during the Vietnam War. During his life, he was also a contractor and city building inspector. Jon was a big NASCAR fan and enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling and exploring places of interest. Survivors include his loving wife, Michelle Robbins; his son, Beau Robbins; his daughter in-law Jessica Robbins; his grandchildren, Gavin and Maci Robbins; his mother and father in-law Darlyne and Jaime Ramos; his best friend and brother in-law, Scott Jennings and his wife, Robyn Jennings; his nieces, Danielle Jennings, Brigette Jennings; his long time good friend Bill Butler and many others. The spreading of his ashes will be in private. Memorial contributions may be made to The Mayo Clinic, Prostate Cancer Research Division, Phoenix, Ariz.
