The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/01/2014 Leonard Merl Wagner, 59, died Monday, July 28, 2014, in Show Low. He was born Feb. 3, 1955, in Phoenix, the son of Harold Richard and Melvertia Posey Wagner. Leonard was an auto mechanic for 30 years retiring in 2006. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He loved to fish and be outdoors. Leonard moved to the White Mountain area in 2005 to retire. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones and everyone who knew him. Leonard is survived by his wife, Frances Vallejos Wagner of Show Low; son Christopher Wagner of Show Low; daughters Elizabeth (Ramiro) Casias of Show Low; Stacey (David) Campbell of El Mirage; brothers Jimmy Quittschreiber and Elmer Wagner; sisters Martha Vogt and Debra Schroder; and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Jonathan Andrew Wagner; brother Harold Lee Wagner; and granddaughter Laci Megan Wagner. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at Burnham Mortuary of Eagar, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow services at the Springerville Cemetery.
