McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel, Safford, Arizona Florene Shurtz July 29, 1932 - August 5, 2014 Florene Shurtz of Central, AZ, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at her home. She was born on July 29, 1932 in Taylor, AZ, to Floyd Butler, and Irene Kay Butler. She married Gale Shurtz, on December 14, 1951 in the Mesa LDS Temple. Gale passed away on November 28, 2006. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel, and one hour prior to funeral at the church. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Central LDS Church next to the temple. Interment will be in the Central Cemetery.
