John Robert Bride
With deep sorrow the family of John Robert Bride announce the loss of his passing July 26, 2014. After another wonderful family party, he passed at his daughter’s home with all of his family present.
He was born Oct. 14, 1938, to Tom and Margaret Bride in Redmond, Ore.
John was a union ironworker for many years and a very hard worker. He had lifelong friends from various dams and power plants he worked at.
He was a true gentleman and had a soft heart, always helping others. He has been a true blessing and the rock his family needed during the last few years as his son-in-law and best friend battled brain cancer. “We can’t thank him enough.”
He loved spending time with his family having meals, watching UFC fights and drinking a little wine. He loved riding motorcycles, camping, collecting guns and rusty metal.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Cindy, and son-in-law Elicio; grandsons Jeremy Garcia-BJ (Heather) Garcia; and great-grandson Brody. He is also survived by his much loved brother, Tom (Sue) Bride of Tucson, favorite nieces Jaime (Danny) and Stacy (Brad) Kelly; his love Marion Keith; and beloved little poms, Sugar and Little Man. “They miss him as much as we do.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Margaret, and sister Bonnielee Smith.
“We will cherish the great memories with him over the years that are priceless.”
“Remember it’s five o’clock somewhere.”
Services will be announced.
