Mary Q. Baltierra of Superior, Arizona passed away peacefully on October
16, 2005 with her family by her side. Mary was born and raised in
Phoenix; but moved to Superior after she married Joe Baltierra. Together
they raised their 7 children. Mary was a Correctional Officer and
retired from the Department of Corrections. Momma loved cooking, being
with her children, and all her grandchildren. She volunteered her time
to St. Francis Church and would sew the altar cloths. Mary is preceded
in death by her parents Ray and Anita Quihuiz. She is survived by her
husband Joe Baltierra Sr., daughters Anna, Mary Dee, Antoinette, Eva,
and Donna Ray; sons Joe Jr. (Vivian),and Jesse (Jenny); sisters Patsy
and Theresa; brothers Ray and Henry; 17 grandchildren and 3 great
grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Celebration to be held Wednesday Oct. 19, 2005 10:30am at St.
Francis Church in Superior, Arizona with burial to follow at Mountain
Breeze Memorial Gardens in Miami, Arizona. Reception immediately to
follow after the burial at Los Hermanos Restaurant located at 835 US Hwy
60 in Superior Arizona. Arrangements handled by Abel Funeral Services.
