Nora East, of Safford, quietly entered into eternal life Friday afternoon, August 8, 2014, at the Mount Graham Regional Medical Center, with her loving family at her bedside. She was 79.
Nora leaves behind: her five daughters, Mickey Eyre (Raymond), Kathy East, Diane Sanders (Richard), Christy Lee (Scott) and Tisha Bierman (Chris); four sons, Eddie, Lester, Sam and William (Krista); thirty-one grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Nora was predeceased by: her eternal companion, Edgar.
Funeral services for Nora are currently pending and will be announced at a later date.

Nora Jennings East was born Dec. 11, 1934, in Safford to Homer and Orpha Jennings.
Nora passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at the age of 79.
Nora was a hardworking, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had many talents that she used to serve others throughout her life. She was strong in her faith and testimony and served in many callings through the years. Nora was a good example of love and strength to all who knew her.
We will love you forever, Mom!
Nora is survived by her nine children, Maxine Eyre (Raymond), Edgar East, Katherine East, Lester East, Dianna Sanders (Richard), Samuel East, Christine Lee (Scott), Letitia Bierman (Chris) and William East (Krista); 32 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Nora was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar “Ed,” who passed away in 2010.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at 10 a.m., at the Mt. Graham LDS Chapel by Bishop Reed Larson, of the Safford Eighth Ward. Concluding services will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, Aug. 15, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the Vining Funeral Home and Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the Mt. Graham LDS Chapel Relief Society Room.
