Olive B. Russell died Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Prescott Nursing and Rehabilitation center in Prescott, Ariz. She was born April 25, 1923, in West Warwick, R.I., the daughter of Arganard and Exelina (Lariviere) Heroux. Olive was 91 years old.
Olive was a loving wife and stay at home mother. She was involved in the community, volunteering her time in all kinds of clubs and church groups. Some of her accomplishments include; Holy Family Association, Certificates of Appreciation for community service in both Massachusetts and Prescott, Parish Council member, past Vice President of Church Women United, volunteer at the Arizona Pioneer Home, past President of Altar Society Religious Instruction, a Lector for over 20 years, an Eucharistic minister, Benediction Oblate since 1980, and was in charismatic prayer groups.
Olive is preceded in death by her late husband, Joseph E. Russell; daughter, Jean L. Russell-O'Connor; sisters, Louise Callahan, Zerilla Robillard, Blanch Morgan; and brother, Victor Heroux. She is survived by her son-in-law, Robert O'Conner.
Services will include a rosary at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, followed by the funeral mass at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury St., Prescott. A luncheon will take place after the funeral mass.
