Greer’s Mortuary of Sedona, Sedona, Arizona Michael Van Atta April 29, 1948 - July 27, 2014 MICHAEL VAN ATTA Born April 29, 1948 in Merced California Died July 27, 2014 at home in Sedona Age: 66 Years Resident since 2013; having moved to Sedona from Golden Colorado. He was a Reiki Master at Sedona Reiki and Readings. He served in the Army as an Airborne Ranger 1968-69. He was a member of the Unity Church of Sedona and an ordained minister through the International Metaphysical Ministry; with a bachelors degree in Metaphysical Science from the University of Sedona. He is survived by his wife Luna Star Van Atta; daughters Erin (Van Atta) Heffler and Jennifer (DiMambro) Whitford; sisters Patty Van Atta and Ann (Van Atta) Bauden; brother David Van Atta; and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Dwight C. and Aileen (Derwort) Van Atta; daughter Megan Van Atta; brother Steven Van Atta; and canines Anubis and Keether. A memorial service will take place in the Poco Diablo Ballroom on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM; Kamala Everett and King Moore officiating.
