CONNER, Nora Effie

Artesia Daily Press (NM) Monday, February 9, 1970, p 1 Services Set Tuesday For Mrs. Conner Funeral rites for Mrs Nora E Conner, 75, 605 W Quay, will be conducted at 2:30pm Tuesday from the Eighth and Grand Church of Christ. Robert A Waller will officiate with burial in Restlawn Memorial Park. Mrs Conner died at 2pm Sunday in Artesia General Hospital. Born March 26, 1894 in Roby, Texas, she was married Jan. 29, 1916 to Ross Conner (sic: Connor) in Roswell. Her husband preceded her in death in 1935 (sic: 1936). Mrs Conner came to New Mexico in 1903 and had resided in the Artesia area since that time. She was a member of the Eighth and Grand Church of Christ. She is survived by one brother, Fred Henderson, Artesia and three sisters, Mrs Pearl Naylor and Mrs Ethel McGuire, both of Artesia, and Mrs Luella Lewis, Sacramento, Calif. Serving as pallbearers will be John Conner, Carl Henderson, Richard Henderson, Earl Jordan, C C Connor Sr and C C Connor Jr. [Source: Artesia Public Library, NM]
