The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, August 13, 2014 Rosalie M. Goetzinger, 77, passed away Aug. 4, 2014, at her home in Wickenburg. Rosalie was born Nov. 19, 1936, in Chicago, Ill., where she was raised and attended schools. She came to Arizona in 1961, settling in the Phoenix area. She met Jim Goetzinger and they were married in 1962, making their home in Glendale where they lived until 1996 when they moved to Wickenburg. Rosalie was primarily a homemaker and mother. She was active in the community and had served as a Girl Scout Leader as well as a Cub Scout Leader and softball coach while raising her children. She enjoyed quilting and sewing and loved to play cards with her friends which she will miss dearly. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She was the best mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by siblings Donald Norby, Fay “Butch” Norby and Patricia Angerhofer. Rosalie is survived by her husband Jim Goetzinger of Wickenburg and children Marie Brown of Chandler, Susan Goetzinger of Los Angeles, Frances Amendt of Glendale, Jimmy (Shannon) Goetzinger of Gilbert, Mary Lou Chisick of Morgan Hill, Calif., and Janet (Rich) Lonetti of Anthem; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass was held Aug. 9 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with a Rosary prior.
