BAKER, Carol Ann

The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Tuesday, August 10, 2014 Carol Ann Baker was born to 2nd Lt. George G and Mrs. Nancy H. Shoemaker on August 13, 1961, at St. Joseph Hospital, Phoenix, Arizona. Carol passed unexpectedly on June 13, 2014, surrounded by family and close friends. Carol is survived by her husband, Paxton, daughter Jaclyn, son Gary, three grandchildren, sisters Colleen (Calhoun) and Cynthia (Kueffner), her parents George and Nancy, mother-in-law Susan Schuchardt and brother-in-laws Pete and Robert Baker. During Carol's youth she traveled extensively with the family (US Army), graduating from Chaparral high School in Scottsdale, Arizona. Carol worked for Valley National Bank/Bank One for 15 years before deciding to spend more time raising their young son Gary. She will be remembered as a free spirit, always helping others and a devoted mother and wife. She was loved by all and will be missed by all.
