Clara Avis Young, 86, resident of Show Low died Aug. 8, 2014, in Lakeside. She was born Aug. 24, 1927, in Granite, Okla.

Clara was a member of the Red Hat Society and employed at the VFW in Show Low for many years.

She is survived by her son, David A. (Marilyn) Young of Show Low; grandchildren Brandi (David) Lazano of Bakersfield, Calif., Chrissy Perrygoul of Arkansas; great-grandchildren Wyatt Young, Zoe Kili, Amanda Small and Corey Kili.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vondis Young.

Private services will be held.
