Brenda Jean McDuffie, 56, of Avondale, AZ died August 8, 2014 in Phoenix, AZ. She was born March 12, 1958 in Harford, CT to Richard and Barbara Hopkins.
Brenda graduated college with honors; she was a special needs teacher’s aide; a proud member of SPECA, Nature Converseries, and the Police and Firefighters Association. She proudly supported her 3 children in the Armed Forces.
Brenda is survived by her husband Charles McDuffie; daughter Amanda Chase; sons Darrell and Richard Chase; 13 grandchildren: Stephen, Wyatt, Heidi, Amaura, Faith, Joshua, Curtis, Keagan, Ashley, Grant, Brynn, Maverick, and Ke’Leigh. She is also survived by her sister Cynthia Hopkins, Karen Ruiz, Mary Beth Smith and her brother, Richard Hopkins Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Barbara Hopkins and her brother Michael Hopkins.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd., Goodyear, AZ 85338.
