Kristina Ona Weimer, 49, passed away Aug. 9, 2014. She was born in
Hollywood, Calif. Sept. 21, 1964 to Antanas and Izolina Simonis. She
grew up in Pacific Palisades, then joined the Navy and became an in-
flight electronic technician. There she met and married David Weimer,
also a U.S. Navy in-flight electronic technician, in Rota, Spain.
Kristina was a member of the American Legion Post #81. She was a great
seamstress and collected antique sewing machines. She enjoyed reading
about and practicing good nutrition and alternative natural therapy.
Kristina loved spending time with her children and getting “Wind
Therapy” while riding on a motorcycle with her beloved husband. She was
also a homegrown computer “whiz”.
Kristina is survived by her husband, David Weimer of Lake Havasu City,
and their daughter, Kimberly Marija and sons Gregory Alan, David Anthony
Weimer of Lake Havasu City and William Tappymeyer of St. Louis. She also
is survived by her parents, Antanas and Izolina Simonis of Lake Havasu
City, and their daughter Katrina Jurate Rosenloecher and her husband
Bernie Rosenloecher of Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Visitation will be held for Kristina between 6-8 p.m., Friday at Lietz-
Fraze Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be 10 a.m., Saturday, with internment
immediately following at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens, with words of
comfort by Chaplin Kathy Kenny.
Military honors will be rendered by VFW Post 9401 and the American
Legion Post 81.
Services were placed in care of the Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home &
Crematory.
