On Aug. 7, 2014 God called home one of his children, Karmie Motil, 53.
Born Aug. 9, 1961 in Ft. Thomas, Ky., Karmie grew up in Great Falls,
Mont. before moving to Everett, Wash. in 1979 with her mom and dad.
Karmie met Tom Motil in Great Falls and they were married in Everett on
July 24, 1982. She was employed as a school bus driver for many years
and also worked as a landscaper with her husband who was employed full
time with the Boeing Company. They moved to Lake Havasu City in 1993
following a reduction in workforce at Boeing.
Karmie was employed by the Lake Havasu Unified School District as an
activities bus driver and was later instrumental in setting up the
original Blue Water Casino shuttle. She was also employed as an office
manager at Beachcomber RV Resort.
Karmie faced many difficulties healthwise throughout the years. At the
age of 19, she was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease. She put up
a valiant struggle until the end.
Karmie leaves behind her loving husband of 32 years, Tom; twin
daughters, Keri (Jason) Crabtree and Kristi Motil; mother and father,
Marcie and Kerry Loveless and brother-in-law, Jerry (Renee) Motil of
Vancouver, Wash.
Her family and friends will always remember her for her resolve to not
let her illness keep her from making the most of her time on this earth
and to enjoy life and each and everyone she touched.
“You are relieved of all your suffering and can now watch your beloved
Seattle Seahawks from your box seat from Heaven above.”
Karmie’s family wishes to give their heartfelt thanks to Hospice of
Havasu, the Polidori House and Pastor, Dr. David Bybee of Community
Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karmie’s name to Hospice of
Havasu, 365 S. Lake Havasu Ave., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
