Barbara “Bobbie” Louise Snapp 83, born Dec. 13, 1930, in Los Angeles,
passed away peacefully Aug. 2, 2014 with family by her side in Yorba
Linda, Calif.
Primarily a homemaker, Bobbie was also employed as an electrical
assembler in the aerospace industry for 20 years. She spent 34 years in
Parker, enjoying retirement and the outdoors.
Bobbie is survived by a son, Mike (Sharon) Snapp of Yorba Linda and a
daughter, Patti (Mark) Pray of Clayton, Calif.; grandchildren, Brian
(Christine) Snapp of Placentia, Kevin (Megan) Snapp of Fullerton,
Jeffrey (Kelly) Pray of Bakersfield, Jonathan (Carly) Pray of Loomis,
Jeremy (Hayley) Pray of Pleasant Hill, Jamie (Tommy) Eissner of Concord;
great-grandchildren, Marlowe and Jimmy Snapp, Nolan Snapp, Brady, Cody
and Kennedy Pray, Macy, Cameron and Ariel Pray, and Weston Pray.
Her loving husband of 54 years, Jim Snapp and her brother Robert Johnson
preceded her in death.
An avid sportswoman who loved golf, water and snow skiing, Bobbie called
Southern California home before retiring to Arizona with husband, Jim in
1980. Despite the distance, Bobbie remained a very big part of her
children’s, grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s lives, traveling
throughout California and various parts of the country to attend high
school and college baseball and soccer games, graduations, church
retreats and to welcome babies into the family.
The last few months of her life were spent fighting metastatic melanoma,
with support and well wishes from the dozens of close friends made
during her life’s journey. All who loved her will truly miss her warm
smile, bright eyes and sparkling sense of humor.
Services are Saturday, Aug. 23, at 1 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church,
4861 Liverpool St., Yorba Linda, CA 92886. In lieu of flowers, donations
