The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, August 17, 2014 Gary W. Roysdon, 79, of Prescott, Ariz., departed this life Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, in Glendale, Ariz. Gary was born Sunday, Aug. 11, 1935, in Kansas City, Mo., to George and Maude Roysdon. Gary was a nuclear physicist, college professor and a restaurant owner. His final occupation was doing volunteer work, helping communities to become Fire Wise. He will be remembered for his friendly and cheerful personality and willingness to help anyone. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Bob. He is survived by his wife Janice; sons Derek and Steve (Robbie) Roysdon; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to P.A.W.U.I.C. (Prescott Area Wildlands Urban Interface Commission) for Fire Wise activities.
