Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on August 12, 2014 - Eric M. Martin passed away peacefully at home with his family, July 28, 2014. Eric succumbed to the long-term effects and multiple surgeries from a 29-year battle with rheumatoid arthritis. Eric was born in Kingman on Oct. 17, 1962. Always full of energy, Eric excelled in all athletic endeavors. At the age of 22, Eric was struck with a rare and aggressive form of RA and fought that battle with equal parts courage and strength. Never complaining, never giving up. If you asked him how he was feeling the worst you might hear would be Eric responding, "I'm a little sore." Eric is survived by his parents, Sandi & Marty Martin, brother Craig Martin (Lisa), sister Tia Laferriere, nieces Kaitlin Martin and Kari Laferriere, nephew Caden Laferriere, his high school sweetheart and former wife, Sandee Popadich. Eric also leaves the light and love of his life, his daughter Erica B. Trusty (Landon), as well as his grandchildren, Madison Trusty and Sam Trusty. Erica is the well from which Eric drew his strength. He devoted his life to her, as well as his nieces, nephew and grandchildren. They brought him the joy that made his 29 years of suffering worth it. In the end, Eric went out on his terms, with grace, dignity and love. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, August 13, 2014 Eric M.
