Gertrude Rosetta Fenton, 93, of Mt. Olive, Ill., formerly of Prescott, Ariz., born April 2, 1921, in Tennessee, passed away Aug. 17, 2014, in Litchfield, Ill.
Services will be Aug. 21, 2014, at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento, Ill.

Gertrude Rosetta Fenton, 93, of Mt. Olive, died at 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at the home of her daughter in Litchfield.
Private family graveside burial will be held on Thursday, Aug. 21, at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento. Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fenton was born on April 2, 1921, in Tennessee, the daughter of John Louis and Sarah Rosetta (Himes) Huddleston. She married Forrest Bailey Fenton on June 25, 1938, at Hillsboro and he preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 2006. Her parents, a son, James W. Fenton, and a brother, John L. Huddleston, also preceded her in death.
She was a member of Walshville Baptist Church. She and her husband lived in Prescott, AZ for many years where she worked at Fort Wipple VA Hospital. She also was a nurse's aide at Hillsboro Area Hospital for many years.
She is survived by daughters Joy Acklin of Litchfield and Patsy (husband Jesse) Martin of Newburg, MO; sons Lee (wife Kim) Fenton of Hillsboro and Charles "Chuck" (wife Denise) Fenton of Mt. Olive; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Woodrow Huddleston, of Largo, FL.
