Richard Herman Geske, 60, born May 9, 1954, in Oxford, England, passed away Aug. 16, 2014, in Prescott, Ariz.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 7, 2014, at the Prescott High School Auditorium.

Richard Herman Geske, 60, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away on Aug. 16, 2014. He was born on May 9, 1954, in Oxford, England, to the late Donald R. Geske and Dulcie Geske Sullivan.
Growing up in an Air Force family, Richard lived in three countries and many different states. He graduated from Vanden High School in Fairfield, Calif., class of 1972. Rich attended Oklahoma State University on a track scholarship for high jumping. This is where he became the first 7'2" high jumper in school history. He transferred to Arizona State University and graduated with a BA degree in business education in 1978.
He began his teaching career in 1979 at Prescott Junior High and continued his career in the business department at Prescott High School. While teaching in Prescott, he met and married Sue, the love of his life, in 1983. His love of sports led him to a long and successful career coaching basketball and track. Rich retired in 2011.
Rich is survived by his wife, Sue; children Amanda Martinez (Adam) and Benjamin; grandsons TJ, Tyler and Cody Stegall and Andrew Martinez, and a granddaughter due to be born in October; mother Dulcie Sullivan (James); sister Julie Bollinger (Curt); and many extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Sept. 7, 2014, at the Ruth Street Theater, Prescott High School.
