ANDERSON, Marion Emily

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, August 24, 2014 Marion Emily Anderson Marion was born in Brunswick, Maine, on June 27, 1932, to Carl Mellan and Ruth Fox. She grew up in San Diego County and attended Our Lady of Peace Academy. Marion is survived by her sons, Gary Salo of Prescott, Ariz., and Greg Salo and David Salo, both of San Diego, Calif.; her daughter-in-law, Lynn Salo, and grandson Ryan Salo, both of San Diego; sister Linda Peterson of San Diego; as well as dear friends and her cherished pets. After many years of distinguished work at General Dynamics in San Diego, Marion retired and moved to Prescott, Ariz. She was an active member of the Elks and the American Legion in Prescott, volunteering for many various causes special to her. Throughout her life, Marion enjoyed travel to many parts of the world and was always ready to pick up and go on an adventure with her friends in her RV. Her thirst for knowledge was always active and endless. She loved life, her family and the many friends she came to know along the way. Marion took the meaning of "people-person" to a whole new level. She was a very special lady who always gave to others with an open heart.
