Thompsons Valley West Funeral Chapel, Goodyear, Arizona Jimmie Dowell Walden, 72, passed away the morning of Monday, August 18th in Goodyear, Arizona. Mr. Walden was born March 30, 1942 in Baxter, Tennessee to the late William Pleas Walden and Lou Ella Rodgers. He had been a resident of Goodyear for 7 years, coming here from sunny southern California. He graduated from Artesia High School and attended Cerritos College both in California. Jimmie was an athlete in his early years and later became a business owner, enjoyed making jewelry, collecting antiques, and surrounding himself with family and friends. He is survived by his sons, Christopher Walden and James (Vicki) Earl of Perris, California; two step daughters Madeline (Cesar) Trejo and Evelyn (Jose) Cervantes; two sisters, Darlene Cordell of La Habra, California and Patsy (Dubb) Ferrell of Whittier, California; a brother, Michael (Kandis) Keith of Fullerton, California; 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years Millie Walden, his son Ronald Earl, and his sister Betty Barton. Graveside services will be held at 10:30am on Monday, August 25th at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside, California.
