COX, Douglas Wayne (Doug)

Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley, Arizona Douglas Wayne Cox May 13, 1952 - August 15, 2014 Born in Sidney, Nebraska, he attended Herlong High School, Lassen Community College in California, and joined the United States Air Force in 1974. He later met the love of his life, Rachel, and married her in Torrance, California in 1983. They were gifted with two lovely children and lived as a family in San Diego, San Rafael, & Tucson. Doug has blessed many lives and will be forever remembered as a loving son, husband, father, friend, champion wrestler, cub master & coach. His sense of humor, generosity, and love for all he touched will never be forgotten. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva & Beverly Cox, and his older sister Priscilla Fritsche. He is survived by his wife, Rachel, his children, Alex & Amber, his brother David, and his sisters, Elaine & Marcy. He passed restfully with a smile on his face and is now with our Lord. He will be forever in our hearts and will be greatly missed. Doug, we love you very much.
