Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Wednesday, August 27, 2014 Mary R. Remos, 85, of Miami, Ariz., passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014. Her final days were spent at home surrounded by family and friends. Mary was born to Jose and Filomina (Araujo) Rodriguez and lived in Miami until the age of 2, when she was taken by her family to Mexico. She returned at age 11 and eventually married Albert C. Remos. They remained in Miami, where they raised their family. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed the companionship of friends at the “Seniors,” as she called the center. Her love of music was enhanced by her beautiful voice. While raising her children, she drove a bus for the Miami School District and served in the Ladies Auxiliary United Steel Workers Union #586. She supported the March of Dimes and Special Olympics. Her love of her community was evident in the number of people she fed and who fondly referred to her as Mom. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; and son, Christopher. She is survived by her brothers, Melchor Leal and Francisco Rodriguez and children, Manuel (Micki) Remos, Rudy (Shirley) Remos, Albert Jr. (Maggie) Remos, Ramon (Lorraine) Remos, Chindo (Lorraine) Arciniega, Tony Arciniega., Dolores (Mike) Hernandez, Lisa (Alfred) Zaragoza, Frances (Jay) Kobayashi, Rachel (John) Duvall and Bertha Arciniega, 26 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Services were held at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014 with viewing at 9 a.m., rosary at 9:30 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Internment will at the Mt. Breeze Cemetery in Miami following the services. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament hall after the burial. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church. Bulman Miles Funeral Services of Miami assisted the family with the arrangements.
