The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, February 18, 1971, page 3, column 2 Eugene Higgins Eugene (Pecos) Higgins, 87, died Wednesday, February 17, 1971, at Arizona Pioneer Home. Born Sept. 3, 1883, at Matagardo, Texas he moved to Douglas in 1916 and to the Pioneer Home in 1962. He was a retired cowboy. Survivors include two sons; Eugene of El Centro, California and Dale of Willcox, and one daughter, Gail Ginn of Cochise. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 20, at Ruffner Funeral Home; friends may call at the mortuary from 4 to 7 Friday.
