WHILES, Glenn Clifford (Cliff)


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Sunday, August 31, 2014 - Glenn Clifford “Cliff” Whiles, 75, passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2014. He was born Feb. 18, 1939 in Iowa City, Iowa, the second of four children, to Frank and Iva Myrtle Whiles (nee Danner). After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962, he entered nursing school in Phoenix where he met and married his wife, Mary. Upon completion of nursing school, they moved to Wheeling, W.Va. where he attended the Wheeling, W.Va. School of Anesthesia. After graduating, they moved to Yuma and finally to Lake Havasu City in 1972. Cliff loved people and got a great satisfaction out of helping anyone in any way he could. He also loved fine automobiles, fine craftsmanship and fine travels. He was afraid of nothing and gave his all to everything he did and he will be missed by so many. He is survived by his wife Mary Whiles (nee Johnson) of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Lisa Marie Kochevar of Riverside, Calif.; and grandsons, Ryan Haynes of Anaheim, Calif., Patrick Richardson of Las Vegas and Wyatt Kochevar of Riverside, Calif. A celebration of life will be an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 13, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Lake Havasu City.
