GALOWITCH, Gregory Joseph (Greg)

Thompsons Valley West Funeral Chapel, Goodyear, Arizona Gregory Joseph Galowitch, 66, of Goodyear, AZ died August 24, 2014 at home. He was born January 30, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Lottie Galowitch. Greg attended Harrison Technical High School and DePaul University in Chicago, IL. He served in the US Army, 82nd Airborne as a Lt. Col. from 1966 to 1990. He married Linda (Werme) Galowitch on July 12, 1969 and had five children. He moved to Arizona in November 2000 from the cold winters in Illinois. Greg enjoyed woodworking, fishing and reading a good book. He also loved watching his family enjoying a summer day on his boat. Greg retired from IBM on March 30, 2014. He is survived by his wife Linda Galowitch; children and their spouses: Edward Galowitch, Amy Lin and Jim Wig, Holly Lyn and Rick Levine, Pattie and Mike Polizzi, Mark and Tara Faragoi; and 6 grandchildren: Morgan Elizabeth Galowitch, Evan Galowitch, Hunter James Wig, Hannah Faragoi, Bradley Faragoi, and Lucas Faragoi.
