Alexander David Reisinger
The passing of Alex Reisinger, age 23 years of Coquitlam, BC occurred at his residence on Thursday, August 21, 2014.
Alexander was born on April 28, 1991 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada. He is a much cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.
Alex was like fireworks, flashing across the sky, bright, bold and beautiful, but all too brief. He was a highly intelligent, well-read and eloquent young man. He loved music and was a talented musician and singer, and when there was a piano in a room, he couldn’t help sitting down and playing it, often singing with his beautiful voice.
Alex had a keen interest in all things computer, which dovetailed with his passion for science and space.
When Alex was in a room, he lit it up. He was engaging, infectious and bubbly with a magnetic personality. People were drawn to his quick wit, bold laughter and ready grin.
He loved to travel and he made the most of the places he visited, to adventure and experience as much as possible. He loved to hike, bike, ski, scuba dive, and most recently had taken up weight training.
He graduated from Walter Murray Collegiate where he was involved in the band program, playing baritone skillfully and beautifully. He attended the University of Saskatchewan.
He recently spent time in Flagstaff, AZ where he adventured in the outdoors far and wide. He then lived in Palm Desert, CA hiking and climbing and showing visitors the highlights of the area; including Six Flags, Disney, and desert landscapes. One of his favorite pastimes was feeding and watching the ducks.
He recently moved from Saskatoon to Coquitlam, BC, where he planned to continue his education. Despite his recent arrival, he loved the area, with its urban park complete with bears.
Alex leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Al and Laurel Reisinger; sisters, Rachel and Sophia; his brother, Zachary; his grandmother, Margaret Reisinger; uncles and aunts, Tom (Diana) Reisinger and their children Adam and Nicole; Walter Reisinger; Elisabeth (Dale) Anda and their children Jennifer, Christina and Emily; Scott Irwin; Marie (Malcolm) Matheson and their children Skye, Ben, Emmet (Nicole) and Jesse (Chenoa). Also left to mourn his girlfriend and best friend, Danielle Clark and her family Laurel and Dave Clark and their son Alex; and ‘Grandma’ Meridel Magnuson.
We will remember his courageous battle with the disease that afflicted him.
The Celebration of Alex’s life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK.
