SANDOVAL, Elias (Oly)

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Friday, August 29, 2014 Elias Sandoval, 85, formerly of Flagstaff, Arizona died on August 19, 2014 in Camp Verde in his home of natural causes. He was surrounded by his loving family. Elias, better known as Oly, was born in Flagstaff, Az on October 16, 1928 to Erineo Sandoval and Anastasia Saavedra. He married Estella Martinez in Flagstaff, Az on December 26th, 1949. They were married for 65 years. Elias was a kind, gentle, and loving. His door was always open to anyone in need. He had a great sense of humor, liked to laugh and made others laugh. He adored his wife and loved his family. His was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ralph Sandoval, sister Rose Yniguez and two great grandchildren; Mario and Marissa. Elias is survived by his wife Estella, 8 daughters and 1 son: Jeanie Sandoval, Evelyn Aicon, Barbara Perez, Debbie Sandoval-Dow, Laura Sandoval, Sandra Sandoval, Karen Sandoval, Athene Briones and his son Ronnie Sandoval. He has 30 great and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Flagstaff, Arizona on August 30th, 2014 (Saturday). The Rosary is at 9:00am, Mass at 10:00am and the reception will follow in the basement of the church.
