Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Betty John Zuvich (November 7, 1935 - August 22, 2014) Betty John Milligan Zuvich passed away quietly Friday, August 22, 2014 in Vernon, Arizona after a long battle with illness. There to say goodbye were her niece Mona Myers and great niece, Kelly Garcia. She is also survived by son, Kevin Zuvich of Las Vegas, granddaughter, Jennifer Cabral of Torrance, California, grandson, Mathew Pashley also of Torrance, five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, most of whom live in Arizona. Born on November 7, 1935 to Thomas E. and Cassie Tedder-Milligan, in Los Angeles, California, Betty was the youngest of three daughters. Her sisters, were Fay Dunn and Helen Mae Butler-Winters. As a young child, Betty lived in McNary, Arizona where her father worked as a foreman at the saw mill and Willits, California where he was also employed in the lumber industry. The family later moved to Los Angeles where she attended grade school, junior high, graduating from a private high school, St. Mary’s Academy. She married Norman Zuvich and raised their three children, Michael, Kevin Paul and Sharon Marie in Torrance, California. Betty was a talented artist and crafts person. When her children were grown and Norman and she divorced, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and opened the “Cassie Rose”, a boutique where she and a friend designed decorative t-shirts. She was later employed in various casinos where she set up and ran the Pan tables. Betty goes to join those who have preceded her in death; son, Michael Zuvich; daughter, Sharon Pashley; sisters Fay and Helen; and parents, Tom and Cassie. Betty’s life will be celebrated later this month after a Catholic service in North Scottsdale at the home of great niece, Cyndi Wilkinson-Unger.
