Bunker Family Funeral & Cremation, Mesa, Arizona Cari Reheis Mickelson April 3, 1957 ~ August 31, 2014 Cari Reheis Mickelson was born in Mesa on April 3rd, 1957. She was the first daughter and fourth child of Paul & Anita Reheis. She was the best wife, mother, and grandmother. She passed from this life on August 31st, 2014 at 57 years of age. She married Gerald Lee Mickelson on March 31st, 1977 in the Mesa, AZ temple. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints, and as such has fulfilled many capacities and callings in serving those who were under her care. She spent many years working with the primary age children and also the youth of the church. Along with running a consistently busy household, Cari was a huge support in keeping Dad’s business operative, and organized. Aside from church and business responsibilities she was always ready and willing to help care for her elderly parents and in-laws. Cari entered the same Hospice facility as her mother (Anita Reheis) the day after Anita was admitted. They were also able to share a room. This was a great comfort to Cari, her mother and father, and all the close family. Cari kept a faithful eye on Anita, even in her deteriorating condition, and passed less than 36 hours after her mother. We feel Cari was waiting on this earth until her mother had passed safely into the next life. Most of Cari’s time was spent caring for others. Gerald and Cari are parents to 6 children; Becky (Chris) Chatwin, Sally (Rusty) Jones, Brian, Stacy (Steve) Riggs, Brad, and Seth. She is survived by her husband Gerald, 6 children, 9 grandchildren, her father, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Mom’s contagious laugh and smile has been making others happy for 57 years and will be greatly missed. Her presence brought happiness and joy to all who knew her. Visitation is Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:30 PM at the LDS Lazona Ward Chapel, 1345 E. University Drive, Mesa, Arizona. Funeral services are Friday, September 5, 2014 at 10 AM, preceded by a visitation from 8:30 – 9:45 AM, at the LDS Vintage Ranch Ward, 2740 S. Lindsay Road, Gilbert, Arizona.
