The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, December 02, 2001 Glenna Louise Phillips, 63 passed away peacefully with family in attendance at home in Chino Valley on Nov. 29, 2001. She was born in Farmington, N.M., on Dec. 19, 1937, to Glenn and Winnie (Riggs) Saunders. Glenna moved to Prescott in 1952 from San Diego, Calif. She retired from the Prescott Unified School District in 2000 and was previously employed at Morris Mayler MFG.s She enjoyed sewing, craft work, reading an gardening. She was a member of the Prescott First Church of Nazarene. Glenna is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jim Phillips: her daughter and son-in-law, Suzy and Paul Turrentine: her son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Bo Phillips: and her grandson, Logan Phillips, all of Chino Valley; her brother Jim Saunders of Camp Verde; and many self-adopted children, grandchildren and friends. A celebration of Glenna's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Prescott First Church of the Nazarene, 2110 Willow Creek Road in Prescott, with the Rev. Dr. B. Edwin McDonald, the Rev. Jim Jones and Mr. Galen Neshem officiating. In lieu of flowers bring flower seeds to the service and make a memorial contribution to the First Church of Nazarene Building Fund, P.O. Box 26565, Prescott Valley, AZ 86312-6565, or to the Humboldt Bible Church, 2500 Old Black Canyon Highway, Humboldt, AZ 86329. Memory Chapel Mortuary assisted with the arrangements.
