Carolyn Drexel Parrish, 86, passed away Sept. 1, 2014 with family by her
side in Lake Havasu City. Born April 1, 1928, she was the second child
of Otto and Grace Drexel of Kansas City, Mo.
The family moved to California where Carolyn graduated from Santa Monica
High School. Shortly thereafter, she met and married her husband, Donald
Parrish, who at the end of his law enforcement career was a captain of
the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
An avid traveler and genealogist during her retirement years, Carolyn
was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother
Donald Drexel.
She is survived by daughters and their spouses, Lynn and Dimitrios
Georges of Springfield, Ill. and Shannon and Dan Condie of Lake Havasu
City and four grandchildren.
Gravesite services will be at 1 p.m., Monday at Santa Clara Mortuary in
Oxnard, Calif.
The family is thankful for the services of Casa Grande Assisted Living
Home and Hospice of Havasu.
