BENINCASA, Paul John

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Friday, August 29, 2014 Paul John Benincasa, 50, of Goodyear died Aug. 22, 2014, at Banner Estrella Hospital from a heart attack. Mr. Benincasa was born Dec. 30, 1963, in Methen, Mass., to Joan Lambing. He moved to Arizona in 1968. He graduated from Maryvale High School. He earned his associates degree at Glendale Community College, and his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. He worked as a teacher in the Cartwright School District for 24 years. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas and the Yacht Club at Estrella. He is survived by his wife, Mary Benincasa; his mother, Joan Lambing; one daughter, Serina Benincasa; one son, Zachary Benincasa; four sisters, Joan Armel, Susan Cano, Debbie Benincasa and Mary Nelson; and three brothers, Edward, Robert and Frank Benincasa. A viewing and rosary recital was held Aug. 28. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W. Thomas Road, Avondale. The Rev. Kieran Kieczewski will officiate. Memorials can be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
