The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Saturday, September 06, 2014 Donald S. Jensen 1925 - 2014 Don Jensen died Aug. 12, 2014, at the age of 89, in Camp Verde, AZ. He moved to Camp Verde in 1968 and worked at Ace Hardware right up to the week of his passing. Don enjoyed gardening, bird watching, building birdhouses, and was always willing to help others in the community. Don was born in Chikaming, Michigan, on March 13, 1925. He moved to Phoenix in 1956 with his wife Jeanne and their two sons. He and Jeanne moved to Camp Verde soon after his sons entered college. Don is survived by his two sons, John Jensen of Tucson, his wife Ruth and their two children Hannah and Aaron; and Don Jensen of Mesa, his wife May and their two children Rachel and Jennifer. Two of his 5 siblings, sisters Helen Heward of Granger, Indiana and Doris Krossovitch of Three Oaks, Michigan, also survive him, as well as 13 nieces and nephews who live throughout the country. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 on Sunday, September 14 at Parkside Community Church in Camp Verde following the morning worship service, which begins at 10:30 AM.
