Otis Wells, A True Patriot who loved this country, passed away on June 28, 2014. His soul left this earth holding the hand of his wife of 25 years, Doris Foster Wells, the love of his life. He was 77 years old.
He was surrounded by his loved ones including daughter, Shelly Rivers, and her husband, Harry; Kimberly Foster; James Foster; Tammy and Shawn Capps; and granddaughter, Krystal Tipton. He is survived by a total of 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Otis was born in Garden Grove, Calif. He worked hard and provided for his family by being a Union Bricklayer in Orange County. While an active member for 35 years, his dedication was steadfast as a 55-year member of the union.
Otis spent the latter years of his life enjoying being a dedicated “Mopar” advocate and he and Doris were members of the Rim Country Classic Auto Club in Payson, Ariz. for 12 years.
A memorial will be held on his behalf on Sept. 13, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Messinger Payson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project. After the service, a celebration of life will be held at Tiny’s Restaurant.
