West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Tuesday, August 26, 2014 Shirley R. Norris, 93, of Goodyear died Aug. 21, 2014. Mrs. Norris was born Feb. 17, 1921, in Worcester, Mass., to William and Viola MacElroy. She moved to Arizona in 1951. She raised Sheltie dogs for the AKC National Championships. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Norris. She is survived by two daughters, Sherryl Phillips and Leslie Husky; one son, Bruce Phillips; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Sunland Mortuary, 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Arizona at the Palm Valley Rehabilitation Center.
